Il remplace la galerie de l\u2019arm\u00e9e suisse datant des ann\u00e9es 80, qui menace de s\u2019effondrer. Un nouveau pont suspendu a vu le jour au pied de la Dent Blanche en 2016. Il s\u2019agit d&rsquo;une construction sans raidisseur selon le mod\u00e8le des ponts suspendus n\u00e9palais, qui s\u2019\u00e9tend sur 33 m\u00e8tres. La passerelle est compos\u00e9e de caillebotis en t\u00f4le profil\u00e9e de type Serrated. Parmi tous les caillebotis profil\u00e9s, le caillebotis profil\u00e9 de type Serrated offre la meilleure fonction antid\u00e9rapante (R13). Ainsi, le pont est praticable en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 m\u00eame dans des conditions hivernales. Les trous de ce type de caillebotis sont poin\u00e7onn\u00e9s au pr\u00e9alable, avant le biseautage. Les poin\u00e7onnages vers le haut comme vers le bas garantissent une bonne \u00e9vacuation de l\u2019eau. Une autre qualit\u00e9 tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e du type Serrated pour les ponts est qu&rsquo;il offre une bonne r\u00e9partition de la charge du milieu aux entretoises lat\u00e9rales.
